Initial visit and consultationAfter your initial contact Chris will arrange to visit you, to discuss your ideas and plans for your garden. During this meeting Chris will discuss your requirements and try and get a sense of your tastes and preferences, in order to establish a comprehensive client’s brief. A quotation, showing a breakdown of design fees, will be sent to you immediately after this first meeting. |

SurveyAn essential first step is to have your existing garden surveyed. Chris will generally undertake the survey, however, in the case of larger more complex sites a professional surveyor may be required - this can be arranged for you. The survey will contain all of the information required for the development of an accurately scaled garden or landscape design. Photographs of the site will be taken at this stage, along with a site analysis and soil samples. |

Outline designEquipped with the site survey, associated information, and most importantly the client’s brief, Chris will put together an outline design for your new garden. This will act as the basis for discussion at a future meeting, when any amendments or alterations can be made prior to the preparation of the final design. |

Final design and construction drawingsThe final design will include all of the information required to build your garden. Contractors can use this plan to price, set out and construct the garden. If detailed drawings of specific features are required they will be included at this stage. There may be an additional fee required for these drawings. |

Planting planDepending on the size and complexity of the project, plant information is either included on the final design or on a separate plan. An accompanying schedule will list recommended plants, sizes and quantities, and is used for costing, supplying and setting out the plants. |
