INITIAL VISIT AND CONSULTATION
After your initial contact Chris will
arrange
to visit you, to discuss your ideas and plans
for your garden. Prior to this meeting it
would be advisable for clients to put together
a ‘wish list’ that incorporates the views of all
garden users. From this list, and discussions
at the consultation, a comprehensive client’s
brief will be established. A quotation
showing a breakdown of design fees will be
sent to you immediately after this first
meeting. |

|
OUTLINE DESIGN
Equipped with the site survey,
associated information and most
importantly the clients brief, Chris
will then put together an outline
design for your new garden. This will
act as a basis for discussion at a
future meeting, when any
amendments or alterations can
be made prior to the preparation
of the final design.

|
PLANTING PLAN
Depending on the size and complexity
of the project, plant information is
either included on the final design
or on a separate plan. An accompanying
schedule will list recommended
plants, sizes and quantities
|
|
AFTERCARE
Follow up visits can be arranged to
review the development of the
garden, when specific advice can
be given on garden maintenance
and plant care. |
|

|
SURVEY
An essential first step is to have your
existing garden surveyed. Chris will generally
undertake the survey, however, in the case of
larger more complex sites a professional
surveyor may be used. The survey will contain
all of the information required for the
development of an accurate, scaled, garden
design. Photographs of the site will be
taken at this stage, along with a site
analysis and soil samples.
|
|
FINAL DESIGN AND
CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
The final design will include all of
the
information required to build your
garden. Contractors can use this plan
to price, set out and construct
the garden. If detailed
drawings of specific features are
required they will be included at
this stage.
